Soundzabound hires new Director of Professional Development and Training:

Soundzabound is proud to announce that Lisa Scherer, Director of Professional Development & Training, was hired on September 2, 2008.
 
Among some of her many duties, Lisa will be conducting Soundzabound product training for educators, sales people, and will also arrange distance learning by video and webinars with a primary focus not only on our web-based audio, but also on copyright compliance and applications in new technologies. Lisa will be actively involved in working with the sales staff to schedule training workshops for districts and regions while also holding concurrent breakout sessions at regional, state, national and international tech and media conferences.
 
Lisa has been a computer applications trainer for 12 years. Her experience includes corporate training (both on-site and classroom), most recently with CED Solutions in Marietta, Georgia. She has also worked as an independent consultant/ trainer, and taught computer applications classes at Clayton College & State University (GA), Griffin Technical College (GA), Ashland Community & Technical College (KY), and Okefenokee Technical College (GA). Last year, Lisa taught Business Education/ Computer Applications at Ware County High School, and Marketing at Okefenokee Technical College in Waycross, Georgia.
 
Lisa enjoys being the wife of Mark and mom of their children Ryan (11) and Kristen (9) where they live in Flowery Branch, GA.

Latest update on RIAA Lawsuits:

RIAA has taken the issue of illegally downloading music and file sharing seriously, to the point where they have figured out ways to find people (even on a wireless network) that have made the infraction. Letters are being sent directly to those people, giving them an opportunity to settle out of court or face a full lawsuit. To read the full story, click on the following links:
